A superb kit from Special Hobby of the C-60 Lodestar in 1:72 scale. Pre-war civil airlines were mastered by the Douglas DC-3. Lockheeds tried to compete with Douglas and developed the C-60 Lodestar.

Lodestar''s were produced with Wright R-1820 and Pratt and Whitney R-1830 engines and used as medium range transport aircraft.

During World War II Lodestars were used by the RAAF, RAF, SAAF, RCAF, RNZAF, Chile AF, Mexico AF, Free French AF and the Dutch East Indies AF. Lodestars were not widely used after the war.

As you would expect with Special Hobby this kit is highly detailed and contains injection moulded parts, injected canopy, resin and photo etched detailing. A set of decals are included for RAF and Norwegian Air Forces.
