The History of Revell

Revell Plastics GmbH  was founded in 1956 in Germany. Based at a former cigar factory. The original subsidiary initially sold model kits imported from the US and Great Britain in Germany.

 

Revell first development came about in 1971 in the form of a BMW R 75/5. In the mid 1980’s Revell setup it’s own development department with production facilities in Bunde. With the sales network expanding across Western Europe and the range of model kits expanding as went from strength to strength.

 

In the 1970’s the range of Revell expanded it’s range of accessories to include paints, glue and tools. Recently Revell has expanded it’s range further to include airbrushes and die-cast models.

 

Year after year Revell offers a wide range of model kits constantly expanding and refining it’s range to include new releases and re-works of old favourites.

 

To celebrate 50 years of Revell models Revell has selected ten kits for re-launch from the 50’s 60’ and 70’s. Available in their original style boxes these kits will be true collectors items.
