Flying Fish Models DC-9-51 (1:144) Review

Well the first batch of Flying Fish DC9-51 kits have arrived at Martlesham Models. These kits have been eagerly awaited by the airliner modelling community.

The kit comes in a stout cardboard box and all of the parts (with the exception of the photo etched parts) are wrapped in thin medium density foam.

All of the kit parts with the exception of the nose and cockpit section are moulded in a medium dark grey resin. The parts are finely detailed with panel lines and recesses.

The Flying Fish DC9-51 kit contains some finely detailed photo etched parts for the windscreen wipers and airspeed indicators.

The next photo shows the main fuselage section of the Flying Fish DC9-51 kit.

The next photo show the Flying Fish DC9-51 undercarriage and the finely detailed engines (note the engine fans moulded inside the engine cowls).

The final set of pictures show the tail planes and the clear moulded nose and cockpit section.
