If you have any complaints about our service or any products that you have purchased from us, please feel free to contact us at sales@martlesham-models.com. We will endeavour to respond to your complaint within 2 working days. Complaints are normally resolved within 7 working days. You will be kept up to date on progress of the complaint via email or phone.

This site is designed to assist you in making your purchasing decisions, and is not intended to be the definitive source of accurate information. Shopping Cart and Cookies

Please make sure your browser is set to accept cookies from our website. Some users have experienced problems using the shopping cart and this may be due to high security settings on your browser or firewall. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, though you do not have to. The 'help' portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. Please remember that by disabling cookies you may not be able to place an order on our website using the shopping cart. If you experience problems placing an order using the shopping cart remember you can always default to placing an order via email. I will happily advise you of total costs including postage via email.

Making a Payment

Payment by PayPal is preferred. Payment by postal order or cheque is also accepted, however I will only accept UK orders via cheque or postal order. Receipt of postal orders is required before the dispatch of any goods. The clearance of all cheques and crossed postal orders is required before the dispatch of any goods.

Non Payment

I will allow 7 days for payment of goods bought from my shop. I will contact you via email during this time to request payment. Please make every effort to pay promptly preferably via PayPal. If payment is not received within 7 days then goods will be re-listed. Please contact me via email if you have a problem paying for an item or have made a mistake.

Guarantee

All new items are sold subject to the manufacturer's warranty. Any item found to be faulty or not to your satisfaction on arrival will be replaced or credited immediately upon receipt of the returned item providing they are in mint condition and returned within 7 days. Normal statutory rights apply.

Returns Policy

If you wish to return any goods to us you must e-mail 'Martlesham Models' at sales@martlesham-models.com detailing the problem before you return any goods. Do not return any goods to us until you have been authorised to do so. Goods must be returned to us within 7 days. Goods must be returned to us in the condition in which they were received and in their original packaging, and they must not have been used. We regret that we do not refund postage or packing charges, and the cost of return of the goods to us is your responsibility. Please make sure you get a receipt for your postage and proof of posting. If the goods fail to be returned to us you will be asked to provide proof of postage before a refund can be issued.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If when you receive your order, you find that any item or items are damaged or faulty, please contact 'Martlesham Models' immediately by email at sales@martlesham-models.com. We will arrange a replacement as soon as possible.

Out Of Stock Items

I try not to list out of stock items however sometimes mistakes do happen and stock runs low. You have the right to cancel your order if an item is out of stock and I will of course provide a full refund.

Special Orders

Special orders usually take 7 to 10 days before they arrive at my shop. I will of course keep you fully informed of their progress via email. I do not expect payment in advance for any special order unless the total for the goods exceeds £50. I will ship the goods once payment has been received and cleared.

Privacy Policy

'Martlesham Models' respects the privacy of all its customers and as such we do not disclose any personal information collected on this site to any third parties, unless required to do so by law. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you to enable us to provide you with the best possible service and to enable us to process your order.

We may e-mail you in the future unless you have informed us otherwise. Should you wish to unsubscribe from any of our mail lists you can do so at any time by contacting us at sales@martlesham-models.com

The type of information we may collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number and email address. We will not collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent and we will not keep records of your credit card details, these are handled securely by PayPal for the purposes of your order only.

If you send us any information, for example by placing an order with us, you can change or ask us to remove your information at any point. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us at sales@martlesham-models.com. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser, you can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening . We use this information so that we can deliver a better quality of service to our customers.

Safety

Read all manufacturers instructions and safety guidelines carefully before you start work on your model. Remember small parts, tools, knives, solvents and paint used in modelling can be dangerous. It is your responsibility to model safely. Read the ‘Safety’ page in the shop for further information on safe modelling.

Kit Reviews

As part of the service we provide to our customers we review all of the model kits for sale in the shop. We have to break the manufacturers seal on one kit in the batch to enable us provide an accurate review of the contents and quality of the model. All model kits are then re-sealed for sale in the shop. We hope that if you receive one of these kits it does not detract from your buying experience with us.
